

Donna had a long career as a paralegal and retired from the State of Georgia Child Support Recovery Unit. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Christian Church in Monroe, GA. She loved everyone, but mostly she loved being a Mom to her kids, and a Memaw to her grandkids. Donna loved having lunch on Friday with her friends and cherished the ability to drive. During her life, she had three loyal dogs: Sandy, Misty, and Rosie. Some of her other loves were watching Wheel of Fortune, Andy Griffith, and Elvis Presley.
In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Broach. She is survived by her sons: Eric Hollifield of Winder, GA and Kevin (Trisha) Hollifield of Monticello, GA; step daughter, Kim Broach Bowman (Chris) of Cookeville, TN; brothers: Jim Lord of Winder, GA and Tony Lord of Marietta, GA; sisters: Stacey (Tommy) Fletcher of Blairsville, GA; Ellen (Norris) Vaughan of Homer, GA; Amy (Joe) Brown of Waimanalo, HI; grandchildren: Reid (Shelby) Hollifield of Bogart, GA, Nick (Courtney) Hollifield of Statham, GA, Justin Hollifield and Audrey Hollifield both of Monticello, GA, Tristan Hicks of Lawrenceville, GA, and Makenzie (Johnathan) Bowman of Cookeville, TN; and her first great grandchild on the way, Baby James Hollifield.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, January 11 from 5PM until 8PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. The funeral service will be held in Smith Memory Chapel on Friday, January 12 at noon with the burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Christian Church Cemetery in Monroe, GA.
