Donna Hardin Patton

Donna Hardin Patton, age 78 of Winder, GA, passed away on July 28, 2026. She was born at Fort Benning, GA. She was the oldest child of the late Ross James McLelland, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Raxter McLelland. Donna retired as a manager with Waffle House. She was a fiery red head who worked hard and played hard and enjoyed going to the casinos. Donna loved being a Dog mom. She enjoyed having company, she loved reading, and she was a fan of Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Patton, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children: Elizabeth "Libby" (Dave) Musselman, Richard Hardin, Jim McMurray, Wayne McMurray, Thomas McMurray and Dan (Patty) McMurray; grandchildren: Maeghan (Kris) Deitz, Kaylan (Roland) Gaskill, Billy (Anna) Cowart, Joseph (Amy) McMurray; great-grandchildren: Tyler Madsen, Braydin Deitz, Oliver Baker, Lincoln Deitz, Amelia Gaskill, Ian McMurray, Patrick McMurray, and Zoey McMurray; and a host of other family and friends.
