Doris Grace Stockton

Doris Grace Stockton, 85, wife of Rev. E. Eugene Stockton, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home in Salisbury, NC. Born in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late James and Nina Tolbert. She graduated from the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, OH, in 1957 and from Bob Jones University in 1960 with a BS Degree in Nursing Education.

Doris served with her husband in mission work in South America and the States for forty-one years under Baptist Mid-Missions. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Winder, GA.

Other survivors include her son: Samuel Stockton of Duluth; two daughters: Susan G. Santiago of Chesapeake, VA, and Katherine A. Lipshy of Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, GA. The funeral service will follow in Smith Memory Chapel at 1:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Rev. Philip Connell and Rev. Jeremi Clanton. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
