Gail Pentecost of Winder, GA passed away on August 31, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born to Jesse and Rose White on Pea Hill in Winder in 1935. As a lifelong citizen of Winder (with only two short stays in Atlanta and Florida) she saw many changes. She would talk about seeing people going into town in a horse pulled wagon and everyone going to town on Saturdays.
Gail will be remembered as a great cook as well as having a lifelong love of reading that the shared with her children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there for her family offering love and support and wisdom in abundance.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Pentecost; son, Bucky Pentecost; and brother, Billy White. Gail is survived by her daughter, Anita (Jeff) Allbritten of Winder, and grandchildren: Arizona Pentecost and Carlie Pentecost both of Asheville, AL.
A private family ceremony will be held.
