Gayle Samuelson

Gayle Samuelson, age 80, of Auburn, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Gayle was born November 27, 1941. She was Valedictorian of Dan River High School in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. After graduation, she attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia where she played basketball. She coached recreation league ball in the 1970s. She played piano and taught piano lessons. She was a talented artist and she loved cooking and sewing. Gayle was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Norton and Nellie Green Gibson Farson; her husband Lee Samuelson, Sr.; grandson Gunnar Samuelson; and sister Jean Hardison. She is survived by her sons: Keith (Martha) Samuelson of Dallas, Texas, Frank (Carol) Samuelson and Marshall (JoAnn) Samuelson of Monroe, Georgia, and Joel Samuelson of Auburn, Georgia; and three grandchildren: Tara Schellhorn, Mary Ashley Samuelson, and Frank Samuelson, III.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2570 Harbins Road, Dacula, Georgia.
