George Franklin " Buddy " Holmes, age 79, passed away on Tuesday Aug. 26, 2014 after a four year battle wiyh cancer. Mr. Holmes was the son of the late Frank Henry Holmes and Barbara Crews Kline. Mr. Holmes was retired after 35yrs. with Fridgedare Apliances. Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Jean Herrington.
Funeral services will be held Thursday Aug. 28, 2014 at the Smith Memory Chapel at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends from 10:00am until service time Thursday.
Survivors include his wife of 54yrs. Doris Power Holmes; children; Pam (Chris) LeFevre and Vickie (Craig) Moore; sisters; Marjorie and Judy; seven grandchildren; Abbey, Allison, Courtney, Kate, Jim, Phillip, and Sydney.
