George Walls, age 87, of Bethlehem, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. George retired from Barrow County Government after being a loyal employee for over 47 years. In his free time, he loved to spend time in his garden.
He is predeceased by his parents Chester and Mary Walls; brothers: RP Walls, Ernest Walls, Harold Walls, and Benny Ray Walls; and sisters: Viola "Crick" Shoemake, Leola "Polly" McDaniel, and Eloise McDaniel.
George is survived by his niece and caregiver, Ruby Hall, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM and Saturday, August 31, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 31 at 12:00 PM in Smith Memory Chapel. The burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 841 Bethel Bower Rd, Bethlehem, Georgia.
