Gladys Viola Cronic, age 82, of Winder, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

Ms. Cronic was a member of the Church at Pierce Road. She was a devoted care taker and took pride in caring for others and her precious cats. She will be best remembered as a loving and sweet lady.

Ms. Cronic is preceded in death by her parents; Robert Looney and Mary Erchburg Looney; five brothers, and one sister.

Ms. Cronic is survived by her sons; David Michael (Katie) Gabriel of Abilene Texas, Glen (Carolyn) Gabriel of Gainesville and Jeff (Shari) Gabriel of Winder; grandchildren, Mack, Matthew, SFC Christopher, Sylvia, Kyle, Brandon Gabriel, and Nikki Gabriel (Josh) Vinluan; great grandchildren, Gillian and Oakley Gabriel, Sean, Cole, and Tate Vinluan; one brother and one sister; and a host of extended family also survives.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Ms. Cronic will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Auburn City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
