Gregory Frank Long, age 60 of Union Point GA, passed away on November 18, 2025. He had a long career with the Oconee County Utilities Department. When he was not working, he enjoyed being outdoors deer hunting or fishing. He loved his dog, Tink, and he especially loved his three grandchildren.
Gregory was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Mary Anne Long; brother, Mikey Long; and sister, Elaine Dickens. He is survived by his children: Brody Rowland and Zoe (David "Dakota") Daniel; brother, Ronald (Wanda) Long; and three grandchildren: Breanna Daniel, Jase Daniel, and Wrenlee Daniel.
The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday, November 21, 2025 from Noon until 2:00 pm. There will be a Funeral Service on Friday at 2:00 pm with the burial to follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
