Helen Magness, age 85 of Winder, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tenny Rooker and Alma Walls McDaniel and her husband, Lester Alton Magness. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Magness (Beth) of Winder and Wayne Magness (Elaine) of Lawrenceville; five grandchildren, Grant and Rachel Magness of Rome, Garth and Danielle Magness of Hoschton, Jordan and Leighellen Magness of Athens, Haley and Billy Livingston of Bethlehem and Camille and Carlton Ayers of Bethlehem. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Annabella, Valette, Maher, Hudson, Jessie, Reese and Rhodes Magness, Bethany Livingston and Haley Ayers. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 5 until 8:00PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, Ga. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Magness and Rev. Joe Romigh officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
