Ian Dickson Mwangi Muriu, age 33, of Bethlehem, GA, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013. He was the owner and chef for Spitfire Grill Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loise Mumbi Gatunbu. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Muriu of Bethlehem; his father, Solomon Muriu Njeru of Kenya; three brothers, Joseph (Mercy) Muriu, James (Josephine) Muriu, and Charles (Margaret) Muriu, all of Kenya; and a sister, Carolyn (Chris) Munene of Kenya. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA, prior to the memorial service. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
