Jacqueline McKnight

Jacqueline "Jacquie" McKnight, age 68 of Winder, GA, passed on September 9, 2026. She was born in Natchez, MS. Jacquie was a Social Worker with the DeKalb County School District, where she retired after thirty years and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She was a compassionate person who always spoke positive and loved ministering to and helping people. Her strong faith in God kept her going. When she wasn't working, Jacquie enjoyed quilting, cooking for family and friends, and hosting gatherings. She was a member of Winder First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, played hand bells and a member of the Disciples of Faith Life Group.

Jacquie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Queen Ester Nickson. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harry McKnight, Jr. She is also survived by her sons: Harry "Trey" (Jamie Brooke) McKnight, James “Jamie” (Kelsey) McKnight, and Christopher “Chris” McKnight; brothers, Tony (Sheila) Denham and Mason Denham; sister, Traci Denham; sister-in-law, Gwen McKnight; six grandchildren: Mason, Rowen, Holly, Titus, Kamryn, and Elijah and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Winder First Baptist Church, 625 Jefferson Hwy, Winder, GA, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 am. The family will receive visitors at the church starting at 10:00 am.
