Janice Maxwell Cassidy

Janice Maxwell Cassidy, 87 of Winder, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. She was born in Walton County on April 10, 1939 to the late C.F. "Shug" Maxwell and Frances Armstrong Maxwell. Janice was a member of Winder First Baptist Church. She taught so many children through the years at Jackson, Gwinnett, and Barrow County schools.

In addition to her parents, Janice is predeceased by her son Andy Pentecost.

Janice is survived by her son Maxwell (Wanda) Pentecost, Sr. and grandchildren: Max (Chandler) Pentecost, Jr. and Britt (Connor) Holman and four great-grandchildren: Finley, Barrett, Boone and Lewis.

A private family service will be held at Barrow Memorial Gardens at a later date.
