Jessie Lee McDaniel, age 85 of Statham, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Homer and Julia Francis Sewell Wootan and her husband, James Albert “Bud” McDaniel. She is survived by a son, Garry McDaniel of Statham; a daughter, Nita L. Jones of Statham; a brother, James Wootan of Winder; three grandchildren, Jason Jones, Ashley and Adam McDaniel and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Sunday. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
