Joe Michael Tiller, age 77 of Statham, passed away on November 11, 2025. He was born in Winder to the late J.W. and Ellen Tiller. After high school, Joe served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bogart Baptist Church and Statham American Legion Post 163. Joe spent his working years as a commercial truck driver, first for Pepsi and then retiring from Atlanta Dairy. When he wasn't working, Joe was an avid golfer and loved playing pool.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife, Janet. He is survived by his children: Michael Todd (Joan) Tiller, Josie Tiller, and Stephanie (Donnie Freeman) Russell; brother, John Tiller; stepchildren: Ginger Baker and Edmond Baker; four grandchildren: Thomas (Katie) Mathis, Dakota (Morgan) Mathis, Caden (Alex) Tiller, and Cassidy (Matt Casper) Tiller; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Statham American Legion Post 163 on Sunday, December 14, 2025 starting at 3:00 pm.
