I attended school with John from kindergarten through high school. He was fascinated with aviation from the get go. He ate, slept, and breathed it. I last saw John at our graduation in 1984. He was from Richwood , NJ and proudly so. RIP friend and classmate.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. I just saw him a few weeks ago at D73 to go over my bird. I have come to know John as a friend and very generous, trustworthy and capable person. He has been the best mechanic I have known with vast knowledge and always a pleasure to see and work with. I am so sorry for the Reiner family's loss. John Reiner - a really good man ...

I had the great fortune of getting to know John first as his customer and, very soon thereafter, as his friend.  He was a true professional, a kind gentleman and an all-around special person.

I came to know John as a customer. Not only was he a delight to do business with; he had a passion for his craft, the airplanes he worked on, and he got great pleasure from applying his extensive talents. It was always clear that John's first priority was his family, and several times he told me that he needed to re-work his schedule so he could spend time with his son, who had been overseas. John was unfailingly honest, and a man I feel privileged to have known able to become friends with. My condolences to his family.
