Johnny Huey Lester, age 70, of Statham, GA passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born in Conyers to the late Robert and Ida Elizabeth Lester. Johnny was self-employed as a painter. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed yard sales. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his siblings: Charlie Lester, Ray Lester, Jerry Lester, Larry Lester, Elizabeth Kerbow, and Dorothy Turner. He is survived by his son, Daniel Lester; daughters: Amanda (Bryan) Ledford and Melissa Jones; sister, Louise (Barry) Garrett; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Smith Memory Chapel. His Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Lorraine Assembly of God Church, 4140 Union Church Rd, McDonough, GA.
