Johnny M. Womble, age 65 of Winder, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. Mr. Womble was a native of Farner, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Alma Burr Womble. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Womble of Winder; and daughter, Joy (Lane) Sargent of Winder. He is preceded in death and survived by numerous brothers and sisters. Also surviving are grandchildren, Hope, Lindsay (Cat), Abby, Bailey and Cassidy Sargent; and great-grandson, Benjamin Clark. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Rev. Al Garvin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army or Shriners Hospital.
