Katherine was the daughter of Edward A. and Laura Queen Saunders. She was born in 1930 and lived her entire life in Winder. Katherine loved gardening. Katherine was one of twelve children. She had worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Winder.
Katherine is survived by her children, Eddie Healan and Pam (Clay) Garland; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Winder on Tuesday, September 16 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will be a Funeral Service in Smith Memory Chapel on Wednesday, September 17 at 11:00 am. Following the service, Katherine will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.
