I recall Kyle. I knew some of the family in Banner, VA. His brother, Junior, and I are about the same age.  I would love to correspond with Junior, George Franklin Baber, Jr. We called him Junior and were in the grade school in Banner, VA.  My son, with the help of a couple of others, has cleaned off the Baber Cemetery in Banner. George Sr. is buried there. My condolences and GOD bless the family. My name is Bill Porter. I became a friend of Kyle Baber's when he pastored in Columbus,Ga. He appointed me youth director for the district and left shortly after. We have remained good friends and would see each other usually at state meetings. I can see his beautiful smile when I would ask about Ricky.God bless the family for I know you will miss him but I am so glad of all the wonderful memories.

The McCartt family was truly blessed to have had Pastor Baber as our spiritual guide on this earth.  Dora had back surgery July 18th and we could not come to service.  May the Lord comfort you at this time. His gift of himself to others was exceptional.  Amazing Grace Halleluah.

The members of the Reunion Senior Men's Golf Association are deeply saddened by the loss of such a great man and friend.  Kyle was a friend to us all and a true gentlemen, and will be missed greatly by us all.

so sorry for your loss. you can never know all you are and have been to our family. my mother Mary Adams loved you with all her heart. preacher baber not only talked the talk he walked the walk. everyday of his life. Could see God all over him everytime i saw him. Nothing can be said that will ease your pain. But knowing where he is is the greatest thing you have now for comfort. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Preacher Baber's passing. I have attended your church several times with my friend Dora. I really thought a lot of this blessed man of God. I found out too late to attend services. Your strength during this difficult time will come only from God, as He keeps you wrapped in His loving arms.
