Larry Joe Patton

Larry Joe Patton, age 67, of Winder, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. Joe was a lifelong resident of Barrow County. He was of the Christian Faith. He lived with polio and it never kept him from a full life. Joe had an 18 year career with the City of Winder Water Department. When not working, he coached and played softball, he loved fishing, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR, Falcons Football and Braves Baseball.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Rosette and William "Harold" Patton, and his wife of more than 20 years, Nina Brock Patton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Wayne Patton. Joe is survived by his children; Nathan Patton of Dahlonega, and Amanda (Matthew) Patterson of Dahlonega; brother, Tim (Catherine) Patton of Winder; sisters: Sheila (James) Renfroe of Winder, and Betty (James) Hardigree of Statham; and three grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel. The interment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens, 793 Atlanta Highway SE, Winder, Georgia.
