

Larry Ernest Peppers, 75 of Winder, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was a native and lifelong resident of Winder, where he attended Winder-Barrow High School and was a member of Chapel Christian Church. Larry worked and retired from Johns Manville. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved fishing, Georgia football and the Atlanta Braves. Over the years Larry was also well known in Barrow County to be an excellent billiards player.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Parsons Peppers of Winder; three sons: Bryan Peppers (Dusty) of Statham, Brad Peppers of Winder and Kevin Peppers (Angie) of Milledgeville; a step-son, Kevin Irizarry of Winder; two brothers: Steve Peppers (Kathy) of Winder and Jimmy Peppers (Sonya) of Winder; his step-father, Robert Baker of Winder; step-siblings: Dennis Baker (Tammy) of Bethlehem and Donna Freeman (Eddie) of Colbert; a sister-in-law, Linda Peppers of Winder; and five grandchildren: Sean Peppers, Bryce Peppers, Noah Peppers, Alex Dunn and Ana Peppers.
Larry was preceded by his parents, Hughlan Peppers and Mary Ann Elder Baker; his wife Jodi Peppers and a brother, Ricky Peppers.
