Lee Foringer age 98 of Hoschton, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was a member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church and a proud member of Rosie the Riveters Association, an association honoring the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies. Lee loved life and bringing joy to all those who crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Velma Gillis Currin; her husband, Owen Foringer; a son, John Ray Turner; two brothers, Ray and J.C. Currin and a sister, Ruth Stoner. Lee is survived by two daughters, Carol Finley of Hoschton and Kay Beaver (Don) of Buford, SC; two sisters, Mary Harrison and Dottie Tompkins both of Dayton, NV; three grandchildren, Brett Beaver, Darra Owenby and Alyson Finley and four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren Beaver, Jackson Tutterow and Ashlyn Owenby. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Mincey officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of the arrangements.
