Lela Davis, age 88 of Winder, GA, passed away on September 15, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, GA, to the late Samuel and Catherine Giles. She attended Nursing School and spent her entire life caring for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Lela was a member of Winder First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Lela was preceded in death by her husband, George Davis. She is survived by her children: Steve (Pam) Davis, Stan (Katie) Davis, and Ledra Woodlee; five grandchildren: Colin, Nick, Ben, Pepper, and Annie; and her sister, Joanne Waits.
There will be a Visitation for family and friends at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Her Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Chad Mantooth officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lela may be made to Winder First Baptist Church, 825 Jefferson Hwy, Winder, GA 30680.
