

Lois C. Baker, age 85 of Bogart passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lois retired as a seamstress and worked most of her career for Thomas Textile. Her faith was strong even in her last moments and the love for Jehovah and her family was unparalleled. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. “Babe” and Carrie Young Connor; her husband, E.L. “Kink” Baker; a daughter, Beth Baker and nine brothers and sisters. Lois is survived by four daughters, Gail Carter Nash (Gary) of Bogart, Kay Kinsey(Rufus) of Braselton, Joan Adams(Jimmy) of Watkinsville and Paula Baker NeSmith (Kenneth) of Bogart; six grandchildren, Ben and Andy Carter, Susan Thompson, Nathan Kinsey, Paige Gehrlich and Clay Adams and ten great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bogart United Methodist Cemetery.
