Lona Ruth Stewart

Lona Ruth Stewart, age 85, of Madison, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013. During her life, she attended church at New Life Fellowship in Statham, GA. Ruth loved to cook, garden, and spend time outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Adams and Maude Clack Adams; five children and three sisters. Survivors include four sons, Chester Hill of Statham, Joe Hill of Winder, Clarence (Vickie) Hill of Greensboro, and O.B. Hill of Greensboro; two daughters, Janie (Hugh) Wilson of Madison and Stacey Stewart of Winder; two brothers, Clint Adams of Winder and Luke Adams of Calhoun, SC; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, on Friday, September 27, 2013 prior to the service. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Ministers Fred and Sherry White officiating. The interment will follow the service at Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery, Winder.
