A native of Swain County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Haynes Howard and Oma Wooten Howard. Throughout her life, Mrs. Lawson was a dedicated homemaker.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Jack Lawson; brothers, Kenneth and Wayne Howard of Gastonia, North Carolina; and sisters, Debbie Callahan and Gail spencer both of Gastonia, NC, Ruby Cox of Michigan, and Betty Jo Martin of Statham.
The Funeral Service to honor the life of Mrs. Lawson will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
