Mary Ann Ford

Mary Ann Ford, age 82, of Statham, GA passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Mary Ann was born in Watkinsville on July 2, 1943. Her working life was spent as a seamstress in area sewing plants. She was a loving and protective mother who could make the best cathead biscuits and enjoyed playing Scrabble and working puzzles and crosswords. She kept up with her afternoon soap operas. She truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Ethel Pace, three brothers, and one brother-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Frank D. Ford. She is also survived by her children: Dwayne (Lisa) Ford, Ronald Ford, Lisa Gilmer and Susan Ford; brother, Dickie (Connie) Pace; sisters: Linda Hood, Vickie Pace, and Dot Whitehead; nine grandchildren: Justin (Brittney) Ford, Katie (Alex) Gamblin, Amanda (Daniel) Parker, Kaela (Brandon) Kellum, Madison (Kasey Atkins) Gilmer, Luke (Sarah) Gilmer, Andy (Sammy Mooney) Gilmer, Cameron Ford, and Carson Ford; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. After the Visitation there will be a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel with the burial to follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
