Bruce Ferrell, age 51, of Winder, GA, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. Mr. Ferrell enjoyed fishing, building anything and doing home improvement projects. He is preceded in death by his father, Doyle Ferrell; sister, Dianne Hanson and grandfather, Bruce Brown. Survivors include his wife, Kay Allen of Winder, GA; son, Michael Ferrell of Elberton, GA; daughter, Michelle Ferrell of Chicago, IL; step-son, Jason Allen of Winder, GA; grandson, Brandon Allen; mother, Mary Jane Ferrell of Winder, GA; sister, Bonnie Hanson of Jefferson, GA; grandmother, Mary Brown of Watkinsville, GA; and nephew, Brian Hanson of Winder, GA. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, on Saturday, October 5, 2013. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 with Pastor David Staton officiating. The interment will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
