Miriam Virginia Wheeler, age 89 of Winder, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She retired from Walton Clothes as an Inspector. She was preceded death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Archie Wheeler; her 2nd husband, Rev. Bunyon Taylor; her son, David Wheeler; a daughter-in-law, Marlys Wheeler; a brother, William Holland; a sister, Isabelle McNeil and a granddaughter, Heather Camp. She is survived by two sons, Leon Wheeler (Janet) of McDonough and Anthony Wheeler of West Union, IA; a daughter, Dorothy Camp (Frank) of Canton and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Wheeler of Raleigh, NC. Seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive. A visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday May 7, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Daryel O’Barr officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
