Patricia Anne Canup

Patricia Anne Canup, 60 of Jefferson, GA, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at her residence. She worshiped at Southside Church in Athens, GA. Patricia was employed by The University of Georgia. Some of her hobbies included sewing, gardening, crafts, bowling and most of all loving her family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen Canup and Janice Brown Thurmond and a loving brother, James Brent Canup. She is survived by two daughters, Naomi Chastain and Nichol Chastain Martin of Jefferson; three grandchildren: Vada Watkins, Sabrina Martin and Brayden Watkins; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Wilder; two nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 10, 2022 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Pastors Jeff Williams and Roger Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Monroe, GA.
