

Peggy Annette Becker, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Winder, GA. Born on March 13, 1942, in Newnan, GA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Samuel Crider and Bernice Proctor Crider.
Peggy was married to Daniel Becker and shared a deep bond with her children and grandchildren: her daughter Donna Robards and her husband Michael, along with their children Annette Robards, Jeff (Ron) Robards; her daughter Cassie Gill and her husband Allan, along with their children Justin (Leann) Gill and Colby (Ally) Gill; her daughter Michelle Helton and her husband Christopher, along with their children Austin (Rachael) Helton and William Helton; and her son Garey Arrington and his spouse Andrew. She also cherished her stepchildren: Debra Long and her husband Jon and their children Jack Long and Caitlyn Long; Shane Becker and his wife Tonya, and their son Isaiah Becker; Bryan Becker and his wife Esther, and their sons, Daniel Becker and Anthony Baker; in total, she is survived by fourteen great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Peggy was particularly close to her sisters: Martha Ann Johnson, Mary Frances Jones, and Harriet Helton. She is survived by her husband, children, sisters, and was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia Goodroe.
An active member of the First Baptist Church of Carl in Auburn, Peggy was known for her kindness and consideration. She held a strong love for God, her friends, and her family. As an entrepreneur, she was self-employed for most of her life, running several businesses, including convenience stores and a lawn care company, born from her passion for gardening. Peggy also enjoyed reading, riding motorcycles, and participating in shooting competitions, especially turkey shoots.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Smith Memory Chapel, located at 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. This will be followed by a “Last Ride” through the countryside with her husband Dan and friends. A Celebration of Life reception will take place afterward for family and close friends at American Legion, Post 163, at 1633 Atlanta Hwy SE, Statham.
