Remington "River" Shiretzki, age 20 months, of Demorest, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. River was born in Athens, GA, and during his short time with us, he showed us true strength. From the time he was a month old, he defied all odds that were stacked against him. Every minute of his life, River was a true fighter.
River was preceded in death by his sister, Lilith, and his great-grandparents, Donnie and Clara Evans. He is survived by his parents, Casey Shiretzki and Jennifer Brooks, and his sisters, Rosalie and Willow. He is also survived by grandparents, Brad and Cheryl Brooks of Statham; great-grandparents, Mike and Ronda Brooks of Bossier City, LA; and uncle Zachary Brooks and aunt Michala Brooks of Charlotte, NC.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. Following the visitation will be a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM in Smith Memory Chapel.
