Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his parents, the late Gordon Thomas Bowen and Vera Estelle Rutledge Bowen. He was also preceded in death by his son Ronald Ellington Jr., daughter Marsha Bryant, sister Elaine Edgar and nephew, Michael Edgar. He had been employed by Ingles and was retired from the National Guard.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Barbara Abner Bowen. He is also survived by his brother, Steve (Melinda) Bowen of Winder; sister, Dianne Ivey of Bethlehem; and granddaughter, Tiffany Pfeifer of Winder. Other survivors include a niece: Tracie Ivey; and nephews: Scott Ivey, Ashley Bowen, Justin Bowen and Barry Edgar.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home.
