Richard Brevard Russell III

The Honorable Judge Richard Brevard Russell III, age 86 of Winder, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016 at his residence. A native of Barrow County he is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Russell Sr. and Sybil Millsaps Russell.

Judge Russell III is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Pat Randoph Russell of Winder; sons, Richard B. Russell Jr. of Winder; daughters, Vickie Russell (Mike) Smith of Bethlehem, Tandy Russell (Craig) Green of Jacksonville, FL, and Nannette Russell (Eric) Kallestad of Winder; nine grandchildren, Justin (Bridget) Hall, Caren Pulliam, Jennifer (Craig) Currell, Robert (Rebecca) Green, Emily (Mark) Wells, Cedric (Amy) Jernigan III, Baxter, Mollie, and Emory Russell; 10 great grandchildren; preceeded in death by his brother, Robert L. Russell Jr. and survived by his sister in law Betty Ann Russell ; sisters, Betty Russell Vandiver of Lavonia and preceded in death by his brother in law, former Governor, Ernest Vandiver and Ina Russell Ingram of Danville, VA and preceded in death by brother in law Judge Jim Ingram.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Judge Russell III will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Winder First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Brock Burnette officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Judge Russell III to the Winder First Presbyterian Church at 239 West Candler Street, Winder, GA 30680 or to The Eagles Ranch at http://eagleranch.org/give/ in Flowery Branch, GA
