Mr. Savage was the owner of NGMT Ambulance Service.

Mr. Savage is survived by his daughter; Carrie Lee Savage and fiancé Dustin Cummins of Watkinsville; parents; Dorsey Cyrus Savage Jr. and Patricia Wood Savage of Statham; brother, David Savage of Colbert; sister, Leighann Lampp of Helen; grandchildren, Sutton Eleanor-Grace Cummins and Walter Wayne Cummins; nephews, Chase Lampp, Duke Lampp, and Mason Savage; and best friend, Jennifer Rasch (John-David) of Athens.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mr. Richard Savage will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Tim McDonald officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at Smith Funeral Home. A private Inurnment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder.

The family has respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Mr. Savage to the Madison Holleran Foundation Fund at www.madisonholleranfoundation.org to help aid in suicide and mental health awareness.
