Robert E. Duffey, age 82 of Winder, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. He was a member of The Winder First Methodist Church. Robert retired as a supervisor with The Georgia Department of Labor. He was the head of The Georgia State Soccer Referee administration from 1970 until 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents, Worther Lee and Annie Mae Holloway Duffey. Robert is survived by his wife, Joan M. Duffey of Winder; a son, Greg Duffey of Winder and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Mac Duffey. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 6 until 8PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2PM in Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro, GA.
