I am so sorry for your loss. But Heaven gained a great and wonderful man. I met Rodney in the swimming pool last summer on the Carnival Valor and that meeting has not faded one bit from my mind. It is amazing how we meet people and many just fade away as we go thru life. Rodney was the kind of man I wish I had known or lived next door to all my life. He made an impact on me, with his upbeat smile and attitude and talking about the Lord. You see we were on a cruise first one since my wife had colon cancer. I always perk up when I meet someone fighting the good fight since I somewhat understand this terrible disease. In many, just like Rodney it brings out the best in them, and the enduring love for family and God. Rodney was so happy to have his family on that cruise. While we didn't talk for hours, I kept his business card and checked in along the way on the website. I guess it has been longer than I realized. I have prayed for him and his family along the way since that wonderful time of "crossing paths" on the Valor. May God continue to hold each and everyone of you close and comfort you as you continue on working for the Lord. I know he is in such a wonderful place and look forward to "crossing paths" again with him. We lost a great man, and heaven got a wonderful servant!

God bless you all!

Tjere are no words to express the joy I had in knowing Rodney and the sadness I feel for his family and friends as we grieve his loss. One fine day we'll all understand... God Bless the Gobers.

He showed he was a man of God to me every time I saw him. The smile, talking, singing and his never ending help to me at Christmas In The Smokies. A blessing to all who knew him.

I will never forget your smiling face. We at Refuge Baptist Camp will always remember how you and your family would come to camp in the summer and help with the music. We will all be together again someday in Heaven

Charles and I feel very blessed to have met such a man as Rodney Gober. The most amazing thing was, you didn't see Rodney when you looked at him, you saw Jesus! Rodney will be missed, but we can all see him again in Heaven! Love to all Rodney's family.
