Roy O. Dye of Auburn, Georgia peacefully departed this earth on November 27th, 2019.

Roy was born on April 12, 1958 to Thomas H. and Marilyn S. Dye at Zaragoza Air Force Base, Spain.

Roy continued his travels as a military dependent to Maine, Arkansas, Guam, and Massachusetts. He and his parents and siblings "retired" to Albany, Georgia where Roy graduated high school. He married Lori Brock and their travels took them to Charleston, South Carolina before settling in the Atlanta area. Roy was an independent contractor and helped home renovation dreams of many people come to fruition.

Roy and his wife, Lori B. Dye, enjoyed many vacations and outings to Jamaica. Roy also loved family vacations to Panama City Beach, Florida every summer.

Roy is pre-deceased by his wife Lori Brock Dye of almost 37 years and their infant son Thomas R. Dye and also his father Thomas H. Dye. He is survived by his daughter Jana Dye Heyman, her husband Josh and their three sons Jaxon, Axel and Hendrix all of Loganville, Georgia. Also surviving Roy is his son Dustin M. Dye, his wife Kym and their three children Dixie, Kacie and Thomas all of Winder, Georgia. Roy's mother Marilyn Dye Smith still lives in Albany, Geogia. Roy's sisters also survive him: Donna J. Dye (husband Gary B. Sharpe) of Tallahassee, Florida and Rhonda Dye McDougall (partner Van Moss) of Greenville, South Carolina.

A memorial visitation will be held at Smith Memory Chapel, 755 Atlanta Highway SE, Winder, Georgia on December 1st, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
