Even though he was only technically my uncle for a short time, I will always remember him as Uncle Russ. It was always a fun time when I visited him, Sue, Jennifer and Melissa at the farm. I remember we had a huge volleyball game in the summer and went sledding on the driveway in the winter. He was a kind, loving and happy man that would do anything for his family. He will be very missed.
Love,

To think of Russell is to remember that smile, his laugh and he always teased me from day one. He could always make me laugh. Heaven has one more smile. See you on the other side Russ and we will laugh!

I was shocked when I heard the news Saturday and was hoping it wasnt true. Russ was a part of our Cross Country family at WBHS where my daughter Amber and his son William ran together for years. Amber and William were really close as he was a regular at our house and we thought of him as part of our family.
I think of that chapter of our lives with a lot of fond memories cheering on our kids. Those were fun times with a lot of laughs. You were a wonderful man and father.
In a bittersweet moment another angel has found their wings. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed..
