Shelton C. Christian, age 85, died Wednesday Jan. 28, 2015. A native of Morgan Co. Mr. Christian was the son of the late Shirley Christian and Mary M. Cobb Daws. Mr. Christian was the husband of the late Mildred Pope Christian and was preceded in death by son; Jimmy Christian and a grand son Brian Kennedy. Mr. Christian was retired from the US Army.
Survivors include children; Judy Higdon, Diann Kennedy, Jean Phillips, and Linda Eldred; sisters; Evelyn Godwin, Bulia Hunnicut, and Margaret Daws; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 at Smith Memory Chapel at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
The family will recieve friends from 6-8pm Friday Feb. 6, 2015 and Saturday from 1:00pm until service time.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Building Fund. Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
