Shirley Bond, age 71 of Danielsville, GA, passed away on September 24, 2026. She had always lived in Winder, GA, until about two years ago. Shirley was the third oldest of eleven children born to Noah and Carolyn Wilson. She never had children of her own, but she loved caring for her younger brothers and sisters as well as other children. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Winder where she taught children's Sunday School classes and enjoyed singing in the choir. Shirley also went on several mission trips and women's ministry trips with her church. She loved being with her dog, Prince, and she had fun playing Solitaire.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; brothers: Noah Wilson, Jr., and Wayne Wilson; and sister, Virginia Jenkins. She is survived by her brothers: Jerry Wilson, Billy Wilson, and John Wilson, all of Winder; sisters: Brenda (Arnold) Dellinger of Winder, Glenda Labun of Danielsville, Linda (Jeff) Labun of Bethlehem, and Connie (Jeff) Brown of Winder; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. Her Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel.
