A native of Winder, she was owner operator of the Blue Rose Lounge. Her parents, Clifford and Vera Casper preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her children, Dee Dee (Guy) Bentley of Auburn, Ronnie Self (Nan Fortner) of Winder; brother, Joe Casper of Winder; sisters, Jean Conner of Monroe, Linda Miller and Irene Holman, both of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Michael McElroy, Matt Wall, Heidi Coffey, Jeremy Sidwell, Megan Self, Brady Doster, Jordan Self, Cameron Self; and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Don Harrison officiating.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Northeast Georgia Cancer Care Foundation, Athens, GA.
