Michael Mathis, age 2, of Statham, died Saturday, August 8, 2015. He is survived by his parents, Jeremy Mathis and Jennifer Johnson; brother, Bryson Mathis, grandparents, Michael and Janice Johnson, Michelle and Jody Seawright, Scott Ruark and James Henderson. Also surviving are great-grandparents, John and Faye Banks and Clint and Retha Adams. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home in Winder. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 2:00 pm in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Hal Tapp officiating. Burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
