Victor McGee Blackmon

Victor McGee Blackmon, age 74, of Comer, GA passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Victor was born in Hartsville, SC to the late Carl Blackmon and Lois White McDonald. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Hebron Christian Church and was a Life Member of the Athens VFW.

In addition to his parents, Victor is predeceased by his brothers, Jeffrey McDonald and Anthony McDonald. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dianne Pursley Blackmon; his son, Bryan Blackmon of Comer; brother, David Blackmon of Statham; and sister, Clair Thurmond of Eatonton.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA on Sunday, February 12, 2023 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The funeral service will be in Smith Memory Chapel on Monday, February 13 at 3:00 pm with the burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA.
