Bill was preceded in passing by his father, William Berry Anderson, Sr. (1919-2011) and mother, Mary Denson Anderson (1921-2000).
Bill grew up in Smyrna, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia. He served the Army Airborne and was deployed to Vietnam between 1965-1969 where he received the Bronze Star. He spent most of his work career in Athens at Westinghouse and ABB. He finished the remainder of his career in Kennesaw at Total Systems as a Programmer Analyst.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janice Allen, he is also survived by his daughter, Sandi (Leon Quave, of Biloxi, Mississippi, and two grandsons, Garrett Beard and Andrew Quave; two sisters, Barbara (Martin) Green of Hiram and Sharon Anderson of Fayetteville.
Bill was actively involved in the lives of Janice’s grandchildren as well as his own. He loved them all.
Bill was an active member of the Athens Rifle Club for as long as his health allowed. He served as a range officer among other duties.
At Bill’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. Any memorials or donations may be made to Bethlehem First United Methodist Church.
