William E. Atkinson III, 84 of Winder, passed away Thursday, April 24th, 2025. He was of the Pentecostal faith and spent a good portion of his life as an evangelist. William was a native of Commerce and a graduate of Commerce High School. He retired from DPI Printing as an estimator. William loved his family and along with his wife, loved antiquing and had an antique store for a while.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Mildred Ogles Atkinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sandra Howington Atkinson of Winder; two sons, Ivee Atkinson (Michele) of Johns Creek and Jeff Atkinson (Freda) of Watkinsville; three grandchildren, Travis, Chris and Hayden Atkinson and three great grandchildren, Macey, Ryder and Brian Atkinson.
A celebration of Williams life will be held at a later date.
