William Douglas "Doug" Ritch, age 81, of Bethlehem, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Doug was born in Aragon (Polk County) Georgia to the late William Albert and Ellen Kell Ritch. He served his country as a member of the Naval Air Reserves. Doug was of the Christian Faith. He retired as an Engineer with AT&T (formerly Western Electric). When not working, Doug enjoyed photography and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Deanne. He is survived by his daughters: Ruth (John) Winecker of Pittsboro, North Carolina, and Shannon (Jeff) Kennedy of Bethlehem, Georgia; a granddaughter, Jordan Kennedy; and a sister, Jane Terry of Ringgold, Georgia.
Services will be held at a later date. Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
