Betty June Macdonald

At the age of 90, passed peacefully into God’s arms at Heron Terrace on November 2, 2017. Loving wife of the late Robert MacDonald. Cherished Mom of Richard (Nancy) MacDonald, Ron (Dianne) MacDonald, and Elizabeth MacDonald (Dave Clarke). Proud Grandma of Jennifer, Matthew (Amanda), Kristen (Will), John, and Myles. Great-grandma of Avery and Owen. Dear sister of the late Harold (the late Jean) Long, the late Helen (the late Hugh) Rogers, the late Gladys (the late Warren) Waters, and Mildred (the late Robert) Graham. Betty was a proud graduate of the Class of 1949 Grace Hospital Registered Nurse Program. She was a long time member of Lakeshore St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. A special thank you goes out to the staff of Heron Terrace and the Village of St. Clair for their kindness and compassion. As per Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will take place at 11:00 am at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E. 519-252-5711) on November 18, 2017 with visitation 2 hours prior beginning at 9:00 am. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
