

Of Windsor, at the age of 67, promoted to Glory Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. He was born November 28, 1946 in Windsor, Ontario to William and Mary Terrington. He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn, who he married on August 26, 1972. Also survived by his two sons William (Mindy) of Windsor, and Tim (Kim) of Windsor; two granddaughters Alexis and Annalise; four grandsons Theo, Joel, Tyson, and Jesse; long-time foster son Ken, as well as many special foster children; one sister Mary (Allan) Jeffrey of Calgary, Alberta; 6 nephews and 7 nieces. Also survived by his mother-in-law Patricia Jean Boyle; sisters-in-law Chris (Bob) Blair, Cheryl (Gary) Kawasaki, and Barb Hamilton; and brother-in-law Paul (Lori) Boyle. Predeceased by his parents, one brother, Peter, three children Carrie Dawn, Patrick Allan, and Luke, as well as his father-in-law Norman Desmond Boyle. David was a long time resident of Windsor and a graduate of Patterson Collegiate after which he was a long-time and dedicated employee of Murphy Distributing. He was a dedicated foster parent with the Children's Aid Society, the Director of Foster Parents Society of Ontario (Windsor-Essex), as well as the group facilitator of Bereaved Parents of Older Children support group. He served for 26 years with the AWANA at Grace and Truth Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 7-9 pm and Friday, January 10, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre(519-252-5711). The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the funeral home at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of David may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex Branch, Bereaved Parents of Older Children Support Group or the Windsor Essex Children's Aid Foundation.
